Upon return to the States I ended up quite a rebel. I had a brother Dave Livingston who drew number 1 for the draft and was most certainly headed to Viet Nam. He was able to secure a term in Korea by signing up for an extra year. Since he had grown up there as well it was a no-brainier. When he left for Korea I went out of control into drugs etc... God touched Dave's heart in Korea and he began to write me and tell me about this Abbey thing in the Mountains. Being a self appointed hippie I was blown away by the idea. After some time of searching I came upon a certain Friday where I had my eyes opened (literally)for the first time and realized who Jesus was. I found out a few weeks after that there had been a week of fasting and prayer for my salvation and that the whole Abbey had been praying at my brothers lead for me to get saved. I was able to then visit in 1974 and personally thank the whole Abbey. I am so happy God raised you guys up and know the work started there is still going on in my and many others hearts.
