Can anybody explain to me why the revivals of Moody, Alexander, R.A.Torrey, and the Wales revival, did not result in a clearly defined rebuttal of the Azusa phenomena? Or was that wat happened a mixture of genuine revival and counterfeit phenomena? As I read a biography of Wigglesworth life of 1948, this man was almost 100% like D.L.Moody, working for his own living when he started, spending all his time and money for the gospel, never got rich, saw thousands repent. And since he believed strongly the Lord would still heal the sick, he prayed for them, and which pastor or evangelist would not pray for a sick person? If we prove everything and keep what is good, will that not result in a group of believres that will be filled and led by the Holy Spirit as the people were one century ago? Did R.A.Torrey and Alexander investigated the 1906 happenings and the activities of Smith Wigglesworth and wrote about it?
